A New BU Tradition: The Object Plaquing Ceremony

During Binghamton University Homecoming 2011, four new plaques were added to the object. The plaquing ceremony is becoming a new tradition where current students and alumni are recognizing their time spent in Dickinson Community. This year one plaque was in honor of a very special 30 year wedding anniversary.

Did you know: “The Object” at Dickinson was designed and built with discarded wooden railroad ties by Harpur alumnus Don Walford in June 1967 in partial fulfillment of his undergraduate degree requirements.Read more about “The Object” here.
