Zimpher, Harvey G. Stenger Jr. as the seventh president of Binghamton University, effective Jan. 1, 2012. Stenger has been interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University at Buffalo since April 2011.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Stenger brings remarkable experience as both and educator and a leader to Binghamton University and the Board is extremely proud to be appointing him to the post,\u201d Board Chairman H.
