After decades of research, Tom Calarco recounts his experiences compiling evidence to give credence to the legend\u2019s oral history in Upstate New York and to add to the development of the true history of the Underground Railroad. \u00a0<em>The Search for the Underground Railroad in Upstate New<\/em>\u00a0York tells of Calarco&#8217;s journey of discovery.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Calarco is the author\/editor of six books and over thirty articles on the Underground Railroad. He speaks widely and has presented papers at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/subjects\/ugrr\/index.htm\">National Parks Service&#8217;s &#8220;Network to Freedom&#8221; conference<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/undergroundrailroadhistory.org\/\">Underground Railroad Project of the Capital Region conference.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>The Search for the Underground Railroad in Upstate New York <\/em>is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.binghamton.edu\/libraries\/special-collections\/researchandcollections\/localhistory.html\">Local History Collection<\/a>.
