Congratulations to Corning for winning Rand McNally&#8217;s Best of the Road 2013 Most Fun contest.<\/p>\n<p>The city of Corning is at the western edge of the\u00a0town\u00a0of\u00a0Corning\u00a0and in the southeast part of\u00a0Steuben County.\u00a0The first settlement in the town of Corning was made near the site of the future city in 1796. The community was set apart from the town as a\u00a0village\u00a0in 1848. Corning was incorporated as a city in 1890.
