We shall be suffocated\u00a0.\u2009.\u2009.\u00a0Open the Window and come to bed, and I will convince you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<div id=\"article-side-rail\">\n<div id=\"slug_inline_bb\">\n<div id=\"wpni_adi_inline_bb\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Adams,\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px\" href=\"http:\/\/founders.archives.gov\/?q=adams+franklin+window&amp;s=1111311111&amp;sa=&amp;r=6&amp;sr=\">writing in his diary<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">, said he complied and got into bed. Franklin \u201cthen began an harrangue, upon Air and cold and Respiration and Perspiration, with which I was so much amused that I soon fell asleep, and left him and his Philosophy together.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<article>On Thursday, the National Archives plans to launch a new online tool that brings together the papers of Adams \u2014 including his diary \u2014 and George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/founders.archives.gov\/\">\u201cFounders Online\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Web site makes the papers of these historic figures available for the first time in a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/founders.archives.gov\/help\/how_to_use\">free, searchable Internet source<\/a>, the Archives says, and gives \u201ca first-hand account of the growth of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Zv477V6tKew\">democracy and the birth of the Republic<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For years, the Archives has helped publish original records of the Revolutionary War era. Documents were collected, transcribed, annotated and issued in hundreds of volumes.<\/p>\n<p>That project is still underway, and it is the contents of those volumes that are now going online.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is huge,\u201d David S.
