They both cited concerns expressed by other scholars about the fragment\u2019s authenticity and the fact that it was purchased on the market without a known archaeological provenance,\u201d the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national\/on-faith\/vatican-paper-weighs-in-on-jesus-wife-papyrus-cites-authenticity-interpretation-concerns\/2012\/09\/27\/f87c63f6-08bc-11e2-9eea-333857f6a7bd_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a> reported Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Harvard Divinity School professor Karen King cited the ancient text during a presentation at a conference for Coptic scholars in Rome.
