#BingCollects is a joint project between the Binghamton University Art Museum and University Libraries’ Special Collections that brings awareness of these rich and diverse holdings to our community through pop-up exhibitions. The pop-ups will be held in different locations and will feature objects around a common theme.
During the 2022-23 academic year, the theme will be “Identity” focusing on heritage and identity recognition months. Be on the lookout for where #BingCollects pops up next!
The following spring pop-ups are scheduled:
- February 9, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Bartle Breezeway (Black History)
- March 10, 2023 from Noon – 2:00 p.m. in the Union (Women’s History)
- April 11, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Hinman Dining Hall, ground level (Celebrate Diversity)
The fall pop-ups were:
- October 6, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the entryway of Appalachian Hall, downstairs from the Dining Commons (Latinx Heritage)
- October 26, 2022 from Noon – 2:00 p.m. in the Union (LGBTQIA+ History)
- November 14, 2022 from Noon – 2:00 p.m. in Bartle Breezeway (Native American Heritage)
