The Office of Alumni Relations invites you to participate in Homecoming 2015 activities which will take place throughout campus Friday through Sunday, Oct. 9-11. The main event will be the grand opening of the Alumni Center in Old O’Connor Hall at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. This former student residence hall has been transformed into a modern space that brings the University’s history and traditions to life, while hosting events that will create new and lasting memories.
• TIER Talks presented by M&T Bank at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, in Watters Theater, will showcase new research and perspectives on depression, anxiety, dementia and brain imaging. Accomplished alumni and faculty will stimulate your curiosity during the session “Making Waves: Mind-Blowing Breakthroughs in Neuroscience.”
• The traditional tailgate party will take place beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, in the Events Center parking lot, leading into the 6 p.m. men’s soccer game in the Bearcats Sports Complex against UMass-Lowell. The Boston-based rock/pop/electronic band Magic Man will perform on the concert stage at Tailgate ’15. Campus departments that would like to participate in Tailgate must register online to reserve a space by Thursday, Oct. 1.
• Wear green on Sunday, Oct. 11, and put on your sneakers for a 5K run/walk around campus, starting at 10 a.m.
