William Heyman, professor emeritus of psychology, dies

William Heyman, 88, professor emeritus of psychology, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Lourdes Hospital. An Army veteran of World War II, he earned his PhD from New York University in 1954, and joined the faculty at Binghamton University − then Harpur College − in September 1954. He focused his research on discrimination and perception. He retired in 1990, after 46 years of service.

A Mozart and classical music lover, he also enjoyed travel, painting and attending local and cultural events.
