A Christmas themed broadside is the December Item of the Month for Special Collections

Christmas Poem by Ernest Robson and Marion Robson, 1975.

This broadside is part of a series of broadsides printed by Stu McCarty and published by the Bellevue Press, Binghamton, NY.  The Christmas Poem is printed on a light blue-green paper with dark green and orange-red lettering.  The broadside is 43 cm in length, and is signed by both of the authors.  Only 58 copies of this poem were printed by Stu McCarty; Binghamton University Libraries owns numbered copy: 4/58.

There are 31 broadsides in this poetry series.  The broadsides vary in size, decoration, shape, paper quality and weight, paper color, ink color, and fonts. The poems also cover a variety of topics, from an old Norwegian folk song to a caftan. Each broadside was printed in limited editions of 65 copies or less, and they are all examples of fine printing.
