Binghamton University Libraries’ Special Collection’s Edwin A. Link, Jr. Digital Archives were featured in the Fall 2008 ENY/ACRL (Eastern New York Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries) Newsletter.
The Fall 2008 Newsletter was designed to feature digital collections from institutions throughout the ENY/ACRL region. Included are Bard College, Colgate University, Renssalaer Polytechnic Institution, and others.
Binghamton University Libraries’ have been using CONTENTdm, a content management software, to create the Edwin A. Link, Jr. Digital Archives highlighting materials from the Link Collections. Edwin A. Link, Jr. was a prominant local inventor, aviator, and industrialist, who created the “Link Trainer” to train pilots for flight. To date, nearly 400 images have been added to the Digital Archives.
