From Cradle to Grave: A lecture on life-cycle rituals in Ancient China

What is ritunnamed-4ual (Li) in traditional China? “Li” in Chinese does not have an equivalent translation in English. As a key concept in ancient Chinese politics and culture, a ritual is too abstract and complicated to define without the situational context needed for an accurate interpretation.
