“As the new Cataloging Librarian, I look forward to helping students and staff find the resources they need through the Library Catalog.
I also have plans to help make the resources in Special Collections more easily available and to take part in other on-going projects, such as digitization, which will also improve user access to important Libraries’ resources.
My graduate work at The University of Texas at Austin focused on User Experience and metadata. While there I was the Cataloging and Metadata Graduate Research Assistant at the Perry-Castañeda Library.
In addition, I have an MA in East Asian Art from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, where I focused on Korean ceramics.
In my free time I enjoy drawing, traveling with friends and family, and reading.”
Welcome Rachel!
