There was enthusiastic support of Cindy’s nomination from Provost Donald Nieman,  Dean Curtis Kendrick, Assistant Nicola Chanecka and her nominator, Communications Coordinator Lisa Havtur, who wrote . . .

DSA Award Cindy and Harvey“Without missing a beat, and in spite of having very limited “dean” experience, Cindy stepped up with her usual quiet effectiveness to perform the duties of the role and she has done so successfully and with unfailing poise and professionalism.”

Adding that, “Even with the additional workload, Cindy remains ever approachable, responsive and available for anyone seeking her assistance.  I believe that it is largely thanks to Cindy’s calm and confident influence, combined with her exemplary leadership abilities and invaluable experience, that the Libraries continues to operate at its finest and why it will continue so going forward.”

Cindy was one of three campus professionals in receipt of this award.  More about the Professional Employees Council and the Distinguished Service Award can be found on the PEC site.
