The Libraries is pleased to announce that Aleshia Huber has joined us as our engineering librarian.
This is Aleshia’s first librarian position and she is excited to support engineering students and faculty, as well as the University’s Smart Energy TAE (Transdiciplinary Area of Exellence).
She plans further outreach to the Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science through research assistance and collaboration with faculty.
Aleshia’s graduate work in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) focused on science librarianship including reference, instruction, and data curation.
In addition, she has a BS in Chemistry from the same, focusing on Green Chemistry. She previously worked as a graduate assistant for Grainger Engineering Library at UIUC.
Outside of work Aleshia enjoys baking, tennis, and of course, reading.
