The Anderson Center for the Performing Arts stage heats up with the “Fire and Passion” of Tango Buenos Aires performing to live music at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9. Love, fire, passion and seduction are the key ingredients of this dance which the Sacramento Press said ”is not for the faint of heart, or the prim and proper.” Tango Buenos Aires has become one of Argentina’s greatest cultural exports. The company has toured extensively, including three previous tours of the United States. “Fire and Passion” presents the modern history of Tango by introducing the audience to the ways tango has evolved into modern times. The tango dance is performed by two people who upon embracing become one, not only physically but also symbolically.
