Pandit Rajeev Taranath (sarod) will give a free lecture and demonstration on Hindustani classical music accompanied by Nitin Mitta (tabla) from 10:50-11:50 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in FA-Casadesus. This event is supported by the departments of Music and Asian and Asian American Studies, as well as a grant from the Harpur College Visiting Speaker fund. Taranath will then perform in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall. He will be joined by Nitin Mitta on tabla. For tickets, call 607-777-ARTS.
