Some 20,000 articles relating to the late Japanese film director Akira Kurosawa, including photographs and memos, have been unveiled online in a joint project by Kurosawa Production Co. and Kyoto’s Ryukoku University.
Most of the items in the digital archives, which can be accessed free of charge, are being unveiled to the public for the first time. They start from photographs of Kurosawa in his youth to the original manuscript for “Ame Agaru” (After the Rain), which was made into a film after Kurosawa’s death.
