Akira Kurosawa

Every month, we highlight a different director and the library’s holdings by and about that artist. The director for November is Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa’s film Rashomon introduced Japanese cinema into the world and had a great impact on other filmmakers. From George Lucas, to Sergio Leone, all owe a debt to Kurosawa.
